It’s that time of year again: Princeton in Africa’s 2027-28 fellowship application
is now open! Please share the word with any rising seniors or
recent university graduates who may be interested in this unique
opportunity.
The deadline for 2027-28 fellowship applications is Monday,
Oct. 26th, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time.
ABOUT THE PRINCETON IN AFRICA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Princeton in Africa (PiAf) is a nonprofit organization
that offers a yearlong, paid, post-graduate fellowship opportunity to
graduates of colleges and universities accredited in the U.S. or African
countries, placing them with a variety of organizations working across
the African continent.
Since our launch in 1999, Princeton in Africa has
placed over 790 Fellows in 37 countries across the continent. PiAf
Fellows work in many different sectors, including international
humanitarian aid, public & community health, business & economic development,
agricultural development, and education & youth capacity building.
Our host organizations include the African Leadership Academy, Baylor
College of Medicine Children’s Foundation, International Rescue
Committee, Clinton Health Access Initiative, and many other organizations
– both large and small – doing remarkable work around the African
continent.
Princeton in Africa Fellows serve organizations in a
variety of sectors and fill roles within the organizations including
Communications, Research, Business Development, Financial Analysis, Grant
Writing, Program Management and Monitoring and Evaluation. Fellowships
offer an incredible opportunity for personal and professional development
while making meaningful contributions to the work of our incredible host
organizations and launching a meaningful career. More information about

PIAF INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP
We are excited to announce the PiAf Innovation
Fellowship track – part of Princeton in Africa’s efforts to connect
exceptional emerging leaders with organizations and investors shaping
Africa’s growing innovation economy. Through this targeted program, Fellows
will gain hands-on experience while helping organizations drive
innovation, expand economic opportunity, and advance scalable solutions.
Fellows will support projects in areas such as entrepreneurship,
investment, strategy, partnerships, research, and ecosystem development
while helping organizations tackle complex challenges and scale their
impact. Applicants will be asked to signal their interest in the online
application.
