Ofodunka blogs now featured in The Huffington Post

I wanted to share the news that the first of my regular blogs for The Huffington Post Art page--which will cover African and African Diaspora art--has been published. Despite this new platform, Ofodunka will continue to deal with its usual topics; so please continue to visit for more of the blogs about Art/Life/Politics for which I established this forum. Sometimes some posts will come out first on Huff Post and then migrate to Ofodunka; sometimes, it will be the other way round. And  more frequently,  my posts will only be exclusively for this space. The cool thing about the Huff Post blogs is that I can now include slide shows, which is exciting!

Nigerian artists @ Newark Museum

A second installment of events around the "Expanding Africa" exhibition takes place tomorrow at the Newark Museum. Late last month the star authors Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Uzodinma Iwuala read from their works (at Newark Campus of Rutgers University), and tomorrow, three artists Osi Audu, Marcia Kure and Nnenna Okore will engage in a public conversation moderated by Christa Clarke, Senior Curator at the Museum. Newark is seriously expanding its African galleries and (modern/contemporary art) collection, and these programs are part of the buildup to the opening of its reinstalled African galleries, still a couple of years away. This is a shout out to Christa and her team!
